Science Teacher for Summer Camp 2020 for Grade 1-6
Miss. Nehal graduated from TJHSST. She will be studying Pre-Medicine and Neuroscience at the University of Pittsburgh. She worked at A4E last year as a summer camp instructor and found it to be extremely rewarding. She has additional teaching experience from her time as a swim instructor at Cub Run ReCenter, an assistant tennis coach, and also as a Tj STEMbassador where she was a teacher assistant at Herndon Elementary School’s summer program. Being a medical shadower at Franconia Pediatrics and Union Mill Pediatrics has also given Nehal the opportunity to interact with a wide range of children. During her time in high school, Nehal was an avid member of National Honor Society, Cancer Research Society, and Urban Dance Movement. She also served as a staff reporter for her school newspaper tjTODAY, an ambassador for the National Society of High School Scholars, and the president of her school's Mind-Body Medicine Society. Nehal is deeply passionate about medicine and completed research with lung and breast cancer cells in Tj’s Biotechnology Senior Research Lab and has been volunteering at a nonprofit health clinic for the past 3 years.
Chess Teachers for Summer Camp 2020 for Grade 1-6
Mr. Jay is a rising sophomore at TJHSST with passion for STEM-related activities. He has a strong foundation in Computer Science and Mathematics. Some of his achievements include 4th in the US for Math Kangaroo, a state-contender for VEX Robotics, and an exemplary chess player as he has competed at the state, national, and world level tournaments for over a decade. In addition to his skill set in STEM, he has tutoring, assisting, and teaching experience in many fields. At A4E, he helped teach chess, math, and robotics for 3 weeks in the A4E summer camp. Jay continues to add to his skill set and is excited to learn more and teach others what he has learned, too.
Reading/Writing Teacher for Summer Camp 2020 for Grade 1-6
Miss. Peera is a rising senior in high school with much experience in working with STEM and tutoring. She has skills in scientific research, basic Python programming, high level math and English skills, and tutoring lower level students. She has placed within the top 10% of her class for the last three years of high school, has a >4.4 GPA, and has won several Destination Imagination competitions at the regional, state, and international level. She is a board member on her school's National Honor's Society, treasurer for her school's Model UN club, and a member of her school's Math Honor Society. Throughout high school, she has helped other high school students by tutoring them in math and other subjects, coached an elementary school level Destination Imagination team, and taught a 3rd grade class at her local religious school.
Public Speaking for Summer Camp 2020 for Grade 1-6
Miss. Radadiya was a part of the Technology Student Association, in which she competed in the Biotechnology Design, Fashion Design and Technology, and Architectural Design events. She was enrolled in the Academy of Engineering and Technology in the Engineering pathway, and has experience with CAD Design and C++ language coding. She participated in her school's Varsity Debate Team and is experienced in debate and public speaking. As a part of the National Honor Society, she volunteered at Stone Springs Hospital in the Labor and Delivery Department. Additionally, through Math Honor Society and Science Honor Society, she tutored other students in subjects like Algebra, Trigonometry, Chemistry, Biology, and Physics. She is also a National Merit Scholarship Winner.
Art Teacher for Summer Camp 2020 for Grade 1-6
Miss. Thelu is a part of the non profit organization CATS, she has been working there as a tutor for several years. She is a rising Junior at Rock Ridge High School, a school where she took her marching band to nationals in Indianapolis. She is also a member of her school's art club. Her masterpieces stand tall and proud in the school hallways. She is an adept reader and has participated in many book clubs. She is also a creative writer and has always entered her works into writing competitions. She has volunteered at many libraries and is currently still tutoring kids in many subjects. She has also participated in her school's robotics club and has taken her robot to vex robotic competitions at other schools. Her belief for the world is 'to choose what you have in front of you before you leap to another state'.
SAT Prep Math & AMC8/Mathcounts Teacher
Mr. T. has taught the SAT Mathematics and AMC8/Mathcounts programs at the Academy 4 Enrichment for the last 5 years. He teaches advanced Physics and Mathematics at the Academy of Science(AOS). He completed his Masters degree at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India and did research at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India. He also has a Masters degree in Education Technology from Walden University. Some of the professional hats he has worn are Junior Research Fellow of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research in K-12 system.
Math & English Enrichment for Grade 1-5
Miss. Fladager has been teaching at our Academy for the last two years, and she is a best teacher at Christian Fellowship School and is certified Elementary School Teacher. She is excellent in teaching phonics, reading, language, roots, spelling, writing and penmanship. She is also Competition Math Coordinator for Elementary programs. She has been teaching higher Elementary school programs for more than 10 years.
