Middle School Debate: Although public speaking is an integral part of communication in the modern world, many people are anxious or nervous about delivering comments to strangers. The Public Speaking class is designed to build confidence, critical thinking skills and public speaking ability, helping students to develop their talents in communication and reasoning. These skills are invaluable, especially in public speaking contests, debate clubs, and student government. Students will write and present short speeches on a variety of topics, and will work on both short-notice prompts would help for public speaking contests and more general questions.
