| Doing Math with Python Programming:
Did you know that sites like YouTube®, Dropbox™, and Instagram™ are coded in Python?
This camp’s goal is to bring together three topics: programming, math, and science. In this camp, students learn how to create programming variables, loops, and functions. This course covers anywhere from Working with Numbers for manipulating units of measurement; Describing Data with Statistics by calculating mean, median, and mode; Algebra and Playing with Sets & Probability by simulating dice games
We’ll write programs that will take numbers and formulas as input, do the tedious calculations needed, and then spit out the solution or draw a graph. Some of these programs are powerful calculators for solving math problems. They find the solutions to equations. We think they will find this new context for “doing math” makes learning both programming and math more exciting, fun, and rewarding.
